Kent State Soundly Surpasses Fundraising Goal for Student Scholarship Support Within Its Comprehensive Campaign

妻友社区 will be equipped to offer more financial assistance to students in need thanks to donors to a key area of the university鈥檚 ongoing comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Forever Brighter campaign includes a scholarship-support component, Prioritizing Student Success, that now stands at $142 million, surpassing the $100 million goal set at the campaign鈥檚 outset in October 2021.

Advancing the legacy of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on 妻友社区 students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine students and forever changing the lives of countless others, the university will hold its annual commemoration on May 3-4.
