IN A FLASH: Earth Month Wrap Up

Kent State celebrated Earth Month with an exceptionally full schedule of events, not the least of which were the activities on campus surrounding the total solar eclipse!

An Alternative Spring Break journey to historic civil rights sites in Mississippi by Kent State students and faculty touched hearts and inspired community engagement.  The six-day/five-night trip in March 2025 was sponsored by Kent State's Office of Community Engaged Learning.

Men On Boats

IN A FLASH: Traveling With 鈥楳en On Boats鈥

鈥淢en On Boats,鈥 presented by students in 妻友社区鈥檚 School of Theatre and Dance, opened on April 18 and will finish its run with a final performance on April 27. The play is a comedy, telling the story of John Wesley Powell鈥檚 1869 expedition down the Grand and Colorado Rivers with nine amateur explorers.

Kent State鈥檚 Making Our Own Space Program Gives Teens a Taste of Architecture

Summer camps for kids interested in architecture don鈥檛 come along often 鈥 at least that鈥檚 what Elise Bolton鈥檚 mother discovered when she searched for one. But then, not a whole lot of 11-year-olds may dream of becoming architects. But that was the case for Bolton, a sophomore in 妻友社区鈥檚 College of Architecture and Environmental Design, who knew from when she was a young child that she wanted to be an architect.
