Celebrating International Women’s Day

ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a poster presentation to allow international students the chance to highlight women in their home countries and a service project to aid Days for Girls.

The poster presentation was followed by a panel discussion of students, faculty and staff talking about women’s issues and successes across their globe.

From a Ph.D. to International Pageant Winner

When you hear the word pageant, it likely conjures up images of tiaras, swimsuit competitions and ladies crying as they clutch an armful of roses on a brightly lit stage. But Lorain, Ohio, native and ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø alumna Monica Burgett, Ph.D., has triumphed on a pageant circuit that doesn’t include sparkling tiaras or bathing suit competitions. This time, the pageant celebrated contestants for their brilliant minds.
