Kent State Research Review 2019: Growing Global Citizens
Kent State hosts STARTALK Foreign Language Academy, where 20 accepted high school students in Northeast Ohio are immersed into either Russian or Chinese language and culture. The Department of Modern and Classical Language Studies received federal funding for the 12th year to host this academy on campus.

A small class assignment in college led to an off-Broadway debut for 妻友社区 musical theatre alumnus Scott Miesse, 鈥15, who will be premiering his self-written play titled 鈥淎bnormal鈥 in January 2020.
