U.S. News & World Report has named four ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø programs as U.S. News Best Online Programs for 2021. Kent State is recognized in the Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs, Best Online MBA Programs, Best Online MBA – Business Analytics Programs and Best Online Graduate Education Programs rankings.
ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, to celebrate King’s life and legacy. Serving as this year’s keynote speaker is CNN political analyst and former South Carolina state Rep. Bakari Sellers. The virtual program is free and open to the public.
The ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø alumni family will grow by more than 2,500 new graduates as the university holds its fall commencement. The accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2020 will be recognized with a virtual commencement recognition ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Kent State Named One of the Nation’s Most LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities by Campus Pride
Campus Pride has released its 2020 Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities list, and for the first time in school history, ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø has landed on the distinctive list as one of 40 institutions recognized over six U.S. regions.
More than 21,200 people applied to be part of Kent State’s Class of 2024, and 3,819 can now consider themselves to be Golden Flashes.
The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has selected ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø as one of four finalists for the association’s 2020 Degree Completion Award. The annual award works to identify, recognize and reward institutions that employ innovative approaches to improve degree completion while ensuring educational quality.
ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø has won a Best in Class award for supplier diversity from the Greater Cleveland Partnership. This marks the third time that the university has received this award. As a multiyear winner of the Best in Class awards, Kent State is also named to the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Equity and Inclusion Hall of Fame.
ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø shines again in the new 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. Kent State is the highest-ranking public university in Northern Ohio on the Top Public Schools and Best National Universities lists in the newly released rankings.
