Cairo Bound! Student Filmmaker Earns Scholarship for Study Abroad
妻友社区 senior Carlton 鈥淐eeJay鈥 Scott Jr. can barely contain his excitement when he talks about his upcoming study-abroad experience at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. The food, the people, the ancient pyramids 鈥 Scott鈥檚 goals are to create a short film while he is away, learn to speak Arabic and, hopefully, to expand his cooking repertoire with new tastes and flavors of the Middle Eastern culture.

The entry of Team Rwanda and Team Nigeria into the annual cooking contest reflects Kent State鈥檚 growing relations in sub-Saharan Africa, resulting in new groups of international students on campus.
