Alumni Spotlight - Lauren Luna

Lauren Luna (B.F.A. 鈥00, Painting) has let nothing get in her way of her goal of making a living as an artist. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she moved to New York City shortly after graduating 妻友社区 with her B.F.A. and then ultimately to the city of Houston, Texas in 2011 to realize her dream.

The Kent State Museum鈥檚 newest exhibition, 鈥淔ortuna: Designs by Vincent Quevedo,鈥 marks the first new exhibition for the museum since its reopening in August and is on display now. It features works by award-winning designer and School of Fashion Associate Professor Vincent Quevedo.

Shawn Powell Featured at Cleveland鈥檚 New Abattoir Gallery and in Vanity Fair Magazine

妻友社区 Assistant Professor of Painting Shawn Powell is being featured in a two-person show at Cleveland鈥檚 new Abattoir Gallery now through Sept. 5. One of Powell's paintings was featured in Vanity Fair this August.
