From Student to Researcher: SURE Program 2021 Student Spotlight

As once stated by educational Pioneer and famous American Philosopher John Dewey, all that we learn is derived from experience. Kent State continues to foster innovation and promote the development of hands-on learning through various collaborative efforts focused on building experience and training. Among the opportunities offered through the university, the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program provides undergraduate students with the chance to engage in an intensive research project during the summer break.

Los Angeles-Based Production Company The Red Door Films and Kent State Announce Student Design Challenge Competition

妻友社区 and The Red Door Films of Los Angeles announce 鈥淧lay with a Purpose,鈥 a sponsor challenge as part of the SkyHack 3.0 competition at Kent State to be held Nov. 5-7. Teams of students will create an interactive toy universe based on the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II and their training base, Avenger Field.

Third Generation Honors College Student Earns Full Ride to Georgia Institute of Technology For Graduate Program

Jacob Grant, 妻友社区 student, is a senior aerospace engineering major with a minor in physics. Grant graduated from Edison High School in Milan, OH in 2017. After a late medical disqualification from the Air Force Academy, he chose to attend 妻友社区. Grant is a third generation 妻友社区 Honors College student. His grandmother studied Spanish at Kent State and his mother studied education. Both were members of the Honors College.
