Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:50 a.m. All �������� campuses will be participating in this test.

�������� continues to be recognized for its excellence in online education, earning high marks in U.S. News & World Report’s newly released 2025 Best Online Programs rankings. U.S. News recognizes Kent State in the Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs, Best Online Master’s in Education Programs, Best Online Master’s in Business Programs and Best Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs lists. 

The �������� Board of Trustees endorsed the 2024 University Remediation Report at its Dec. 12 meeting. The report provides a comprehensive overview of student remediation at the university.

�������� will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. No classes are scheduled, and university offices are closed.

The Greater Cleveland LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment findings are in. Led by ��������’s College of Public Health, in collaboration with 120 local organizations and nonprofits, this groundbreaking initiative marks a significant stride toward understanding and addressing the unmet needs of LGBTQ+ individuals across Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties. 

Sponsored by the Kent State Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.

Homeowners with property damage from Hurricane Ian are contacting their insurance agents, some who may be Kent State graduates.

The �������� Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Oct. 2 on the Kent Campus. This special meeting is being called solely for the purpose of enabling trustees to retire into executive session to consider specific topics as provided under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.”

�������� is set to burst with Golden Flash pride as the annual Homecoming celebration returns Sept. 28. 

U.S. News & World Report has once again confirmed ��������’s academic strengths with the university’s inclusion on several lists in the 2025 Best Colleges rankings. In the newly released rankings, Kent State continues to be recognized among the Top Public Schools in the nation.
